I have been wanting ducks but i cant have male ducks and i want a good egg layers and friendly
Welcome to BYC . You came to the right place. This a is a sure way to get a crash course in ducks and can save you
allot of heart ache with all the help there is available. Three months ago, I got into the ducks for the same reason.
Eggs., eggs only.but found out how entertaining ducks are.
For friendly ducks, get them as hatching`s and spend lots of time with them.
The best egg layer`s are Khake Campbell and Indian Runner. Get them from a supplier that can make sure you only get
females (ducks ).

Quote: Three of my six ducks are Swedish and just started to lay nice eggs at five months also. I have been keeping a diary of the eggs each day. The Khake Campbell and Indian Runner, put out eggs every day. Mine were all close to maturity and are all skittish..
I have been going in many time`s during the day to give them fresh warm water and check their pen. They have been tolerating me
better. There are duck breds that are friendly`r but they are not the best or egg laying all year.

How can I make my ducks wing feathers grow faster after I clipped them?
Why do you want to make their wing feathers grow? If they are clipped they can't fly. Do you now want them to fly?

Answer to your question: I am not sure, but I think you have to wait for them to molt before they will get new flight feathers. Anyone else know for sure?

Quote: I clip my ducks wing feathers so they will not get the air lift to fly. Also because the Khake Campbell`s wing feathers were like sticks with nothing on them. I have to wait for her to go into a molt so the rest of the stubs come out. After each molt is over, I will need to clip the wing feathers again to keep her grounded.
