Oliver (my newest addition. 10 month old pekin)

Oliver and Button adventure inside. (Button is in "quarantine", one of my welshie males abused her) Oliver thinks she's marvelous and lets her boss him around!
Oliver is very handsome

I am so looking forward to having a Pekin in my flock again, but I will let Allie stay little a few more weeks

There on tile floor. One coop has an old plastic sewing chart to cut fabric. Hard and sturdy. With pine shavings. The other coop has tile floor with pine shavings also. Sept for these pictures it wasn't added yet. Put in either case no matter what we did we can't get the water to stop when they want to take a bath in there water dish. We have the same issues outside with the older ones. There still to young to be with the adults. Three adults. Another issue we have outside is ants in nesting boxes.and water that will not drain right.

He's quite the character! Much more social with people than my other pekin mallard mixes. And he's a talker!!! Jabber jabber jabber!
That's how Snow was. She only ever quacked once. It was an ear splitting peep that turned into an ear splitting quack and I think it surprised her even. But she talked all the time. Most of the time she would mutter under her breath but other times she would just chatter, but she always had on opinion on everything... How I cleaned the house. New additions to the yard. Changes to feeding / drinking equipment. EVERYTHING

We miss her a lot. But it looks like Allie might be the same way... She is so much more observant than the rest of the brood.

They do seem to be rather critical! And always with a snooty tone!

Our reoun ducks are feathering- I can't find information about juvenile duck colors. Right now they are patterned brown- so does this mean we actually have females?

I think I found my answer to be a big fat no! :p Oh well, guess I will just wait and see. (I read the vent sexing sticky, but I don't think they would cooperate for that)
What do they sound like? A hen has a very loud obnoxious quack where a drake has a quiet hiss. Hope this helps. You could just wait until you find eggs! LOL

Hey everyone, so Im getting some ducklings on Friday or saturday from the local feedstore and i was a little disappointed with the breeds they were ordering. They will have Pekins, Runners, and Rouens.. they said will be ordering mallards and/or khakis from the overhatch if they're available for me, but if not, can anyone enlighten me as to which of the three breed would be the best choice? I am looking for pet material, and ive already somewhat ruled out pekins as they are not my type. but i dont know much about rouens other than they're a meat breed and idk anything about runners really. pictures of yours would be great too! :)
Pekin would be my choice.

Are you loading these to a thread or trying to use them for your Avatar? I think Avatars are limited to 2.5MB. I have loaded several images over 5MB today. I know the Gold Feather membership (which I have) increases total storage, but I don't think it has anything to do with maximum size.

This image is 5.3MB:
I was in the "upload photos" in the "my profile" page. I though that the label "chilling with peeps", "flock master" etc. was given to you because of the number of posts you make. Interesting! Where else can I upload photos if not on "my profile" page?

Thanks!
