Update.....Merlin's cheek is looking better today. We had to put the baytril in his water again. Merlin mouth is just so small, it's hard to place the syringe in the safe/correct spot. I am putting less water in his dish, and he is drinking it all.
I just caught back up... great news!!!
Yep I know!I just caught back up... great news!!!![]()
And he does look sooo much better!! Keep up on the meds for the full recommended dosing, don't stop just cuz it looks like it's done...![]()
And just a tip, look up TB syringes... they work really well for tiny Calls if syringing is needed in future...
Very happy for you and Merlin!!!![]()
Yep I know!![]()
The syringe we have is a TB.
Note from the Mom: I opened his mouth, and all I could see was a dark hole. With the way he was struggling, I didn't feel comfortable squirting the medicine in. I may ask for assistance from the vet so I feel more confident in the future.
Thank you!![]()
Awesome!!! Such a pretty, Kmmm, handsome boy![]()
Update on Merlin.....Merlin's left cheek is looking much better today! I feel like the non-infected cheek is bigger than his left! Do you think he could have it on both cheeks?
Okay, thanks!IF he did, the Baytril would work simultaneously on both infections... most likely it looks smaller now because infection pockets have a tendency to create divots where they fill up... after the infection is totally cleared out, his normal shape should return after a bit...
