Is headshaking normal for ducks lol

(assuming you mean side to side not the aforementioned bobbing.)

All the time, I would say no, but here are some reasons I have seen ducks shake their heads:

#1 something is stuck to their bill or in their nares or maybe even under their tongue. "Something" can be solid like a blade of grass or a leaf or food or a bit of grit or liquid like water. When Casey was in the house after every drink, she would shake her head and fling a drop in my eye.
#2 water in their ears (usually accompanied by big yawns).
#3 Tevye might sometimes just to adjust how his crest is sitting.

They made it! Missing a snowy mallard so I only have one and I've got one East Indie duckling that's not looking good but otherwise everyone is okay

Is the sick one pooping? In my first batch, I had a constipated duck and so I let her soak in 100F water for a while. By the time she was pooping, she was so weak she wouldn't eat so I gave her a pinch of sugar in a shotglass of water and she drank that like crazy and that gave her enough energy to start eating. By the time she was "healthy", she was behind the rest of the brood by a week, but she did make a full recovery.

Okay one east Indies isn't going to make it but everyone else is doing amazing. Chicks and ducks. Really nervous about leaving now. And we got our butts kicked by my mallard. If she is that aggressive and not even full broody I'd hate to see what full is like. I feel horrible. We got her,nest, and eggs into pen and then left her be for a bit to settle in before we move her back into yard.

If my mallard decides to hatch her eggs will the ones we just collected from nest still be okay having been alone outside over night. Still not sure how that works.
