The ducks went for their first swim today!

Well i figured that their waterer just wasn't cutting it as a mini bathing area so we set up the wire moveable dog pens, the paddling pool we used as a dog whelping box last year, and set the girls out for their first swim.

They're three weeks old now, one more week or so and we'll have them testing out the duck house.

Mum watching the ducks on this BEAUTiFUL and balmy Wednesday afternoon (notice the chickens in the background don't enjoy the same lush grassy pastures as the ducks, because THEY'VE EATEN iT ALL)

I bought a baby pool at Wal-mart last weekend, but only 1 duck has decided to venture in so far. I probably need to put a rock, cinder block or something so that they can get in.

Now they're milling about searching for bugs. I have a large stone on the inside of the wading pool, and one on the outside at the same place so they can step up on them and jump out.
