I dig a deep hole and bury them if there is more than a dozen (which sometimes happens). If it is not many, I'll take them out in the woods and throw them against a tree.
Oh, while I'm thinking about it... Whenever you "feel" that an egg is sloshy inside, don't hold it up to your ear to see if you can "hear" it sloshing around while you shake it. That's bad news!! (In case you don't know what happened - it exploded next to my face... yes, very gross)
Up to about 50 years ago, or less, who knows. Hatcheries would take the clear eggs after the first candle (1 week) and sell them to bakeries for cakes and whatnots.
Guess that would explain why cakes were so much richer tasting back in the day. lol
