The EE braggers thread!!!

. I've Been told that Lady Hawk may be a roo, but she looks very similar to your pretty girl. Any guess??
I found this pic for reference. (these are my birds) These two birds are around the same age as your lady hawk. The male has the color pattern of your lady hawk, but this pic clearly shows both male and female combs at that age.

So my revised opinion is lady hawk is a girl.

My EE's (and other breeds) are having lots of fun exploring the outdoors. They're about 8 weeks in this picture, taken about a week ago.

Although Zooey's not so sure about it all.

I have two EE's I just got

I love them, they are so sweet! They are about 7 weeks old.

I'm having guesses about Hazel too.. She's just slightly bigger than Pippy, and I heard something about pullet's pea combs being in a straight line or whatever?

No rooster habits-- just her comb that is confusing me.
Also, what color are Pippy's legs? Are they a color called willow, or am I just clueless here?

They look slate in this lighting, but the below picture is better.

Her comb is either rose or cushion or mixed. You can get some interesting looks when you cross chickens with different comb types. The bits I can see look girly but a picture of the whole chick helps greatly in evaluating patterning. Legs look green to me. Yellow skin makes willow legs, white makes slate. You can often tell easily by the bottom of the feet.

Sadly I have no more EEs. My flock got attacked and now I only have 4 adult chickens left. Luckily I still have my chicks, because I keep them in a different spot. But I have 2 Rhode Island Reds, 1 welsummer, and 1 Buff Brahma roo. Pretty much all my favorites died. Don't get me wrong I love all my chickens, even my occisonaly rude/mean rooster. But the only one I have left that loves to be held and interacted with is my welsummer hen ,goose. And out of all my chicks none of them are easter eggers. So it looks like I will be putting an order in to a hatchery. Because I have to have EEs. I just love their personalities. Now maybe I will get some of those really cool colors the hatcheries have been having. Now i'm off to price check i guess.

Sorry for your loss. I was in your situation about a month ago and know how sad & maddening it can be. My new babies shipped today so I am on the road to recovery. Hope you get a nice variety!!
