The EE braggers thread!!!

Peach2u that hen sure does look like mine, same color. :) beautiful Roosters everyone! I guess time will only tell if this guy ( slight chance maybe girl) is nice or not. I know I do not want a mean Rooster.

We had a mutt roo last year that was intent on killing my husband. He wouldn't bother my kids or myself but as soon as my husband walked into "his space" he would crouch down and charge him. He especily liked when my husband had his back to him, then he would attack spurs beak and claws right into his back. He sunk his spur into his heel, it got infected and was a nasty mess. Fortunately we got a kind lil roo out of his off spring and he was culled.
Ouch! Yea the meaners don't get to stick around here very long! In fact, choices between 3 month old boys sometimes come down to temperament. The meanest one I had was a hatchery Buff Orpington. I hatched 11 chicks from two hens, have 4 boys out there. One is trying to get dad's attitude; all the rest are as sweet as can be.

My two EE boys, while not lap chickens have been good boys, one is a little rougher on the girls than the other, but not too bad and neither one has ever shown any human aggression. But all of my EE are flightier than my BO, Marans or Welsummers. The Wellies and Marans will stand close to me and don't mind an occasional petting, but the EE will scatter to the wind if you are trying to pet them!

Here is the mother to the chicken in question she has red cone and feathers
Ike Her baby's but no red in the wings. :(

Do all black and white Easter Eggers and olive Eggers end up being boys??

All of the ones I ever had did...

But there is hope - because some other people got black and white ones and they ended up being girls! Their black/white was more spread around tho - not the big white neck/chest with black and white back... I think the black and white on the girls is on the chest and neck too.
