The EE braggers thread!!!

Hello everyone,
Just wanted to take a moment to send this picture of Ms. Clessie. (Named after my Mom)

She's a White Columbian and she went broody again, so I put some of our EE eggs under her. Need to test egg fertility due to all this hot weather, is what I told DH.....that's my story and I'm sticking to it! heehee

She did a great job this spring, soooo, going to let her do that Mama thing again. She should go into her lock down this weekend.

Then, the fever hit me and I put some eggs in the bator....what was I thinking???

So excited!!! I just acquired a blue americauna cockerel for my EE girls, lucky boy!!! Pics to follow!!

Lucky girl....lucky hens.

It will be fun to see how the genetics play out with the blue trait. I have a Sumatra/EE that is absolutely stunning with her blue coloring and additional EE coloring in the lacing and neck.

I look forward to photos of the new roo and new chicks to follow.

My blue based Sumatra mixed with EE (the best we can figure for her coloring):

Same here....purchased 4 new birds, put 14 under a broody...told myself I was done and just put 2 foster chicks under a broody.

It's called chicken math.

And yes, I am a victim.

Sounds like a good story to me ;) lol.

I'm just getting ready to move 54 chicks (all about 4 wks old) to their outside coops this weekend (polish, EEs, cochin bantams, silkies and old english bantams) and will already be putting some call duck eggs into the incubator next week lol.

My hubby is coming home today, he doesn't know about broody and family, nor the 2 little coops I bought while he's been gone! Good thing he loves me!! lol I was never warned what getting my first chicks was going to lead too!!!
