The EE braggers thread!!!


My camera lens not to good, but these are my 2 new EE's. I love their colors and 1 has green legs and 1 has blue, hoping for the same color eggs. Don't know how old they are, but their not laying yet. So glad to find an EE thread. I have 1 other EE that's just over a yr old and lays xlarge green eggs. Need to come up with names for these 2 ladies.

hey all is it an issue if u have a bird that normally lays a huge double yoker to get bound up?? have one that lays a big big double every other day, what should I watch for if she does bind up??

the fact that she lays double yokers dosent mean she will become egg bound. I havent ever had a chicken become egg bound. And I have had chickens lay double yokers. I dont really know if that means they are more likley to egg bound (but I think it would) so i watch for it just in case. Signs are swollen warm abdomen. They also tend to slow down and lay around, but not always
