The EE braggers thread!!!

Yes, I love my EE's too. They are my favorite. I thought you meant because of the cold. That's why mine cracked. Can you post pics of your other one?
Sure, here they are!!

MJ (formerly Spiderman…) Lays a sage green egg

In back is Sandy, she lays an almost blue egg. It has a hint of green in it.

Darth Vader (I have little boys) Not laying yet, that I know of.

And Miss Brownie who laid the egg today :)

Last, Cleo, who has not laid and egg yet.

Love them to pieces! They are 26 weeks.

They are all pretty! I love how MJ is the only white one out of them all!

She is special. She is very social. She didn't come home one night a couple months ago. We searched high and low for her, my husband staying out much later than me. I had surgery the next morning and when we came back there she was. Love her!

I never had any of my hens wonder off before. I do let them out to free range every now and then, but they always come back at night. I don't let them out to free range when it snows because they don't really like going outside the coop anyway. This is star, my favorite hen. I got her at our local TSC store.

@Misty Mountain Those are very beautiful chickens. I would love a few like that. They are colorful!!

She's beautiful!!! I don't have any that are black. Just some black and white hamburgs and a SLW Roo. Maybe some day!!

Thank you! I got a mix of chickens to start out. EE are by far my favorite!

More from my EE have started laying !!! The most amazing is that the eggs I was given to hatch all had the same colour and size while my hens lay three different shades of green so far !!!
Here the thread where I have some photos of them https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/777630/comp-egg-color-genetics-and-other-questions#post_11125541

The white egg is from a game bantam mutt ,the browns from a BSL and a mutt (BSLxmutt) ,the cream also from a mutt ,
and there are the ee eggs blueish green(or greenish blue) ,green and how about the one at the second row first from left to right, some would call it olive but I think is more close to sage green.

This girl is the one which lays the blueish green egg ,still try to figure which egg each hen is laying .
She is all black with silver leakage at her face.

and here is her brother ,excuse the missing tail feathers he is second in pecking order and his single combed brother doesn't like to share his girls .

what colours do you think he is having in the mix ?

I would say he has silver and probably gold. I see some red/gold in the neck/saddle areas.

Your black hen looks right like mine! I posted a picture on this thread of her about 3 days ago. I also had a rooster that looked like him, but mine had blue legs.
