Did you breed her with a EE roo? What color did the chicks end up being? Post pics if you have any![]()
Looks like a pullet I think.
Hey I seem to be good at looking at other peoples chicks and getting the sex right but can't look at my own and do it. I think I see what I want to see.
Here is two chicks they are 7 days apart (extended hatch). The first feathered so fast (by the 7th day) that I have been sure it is a pullet but she has a lot of color to her come though it seems to be a single row. She is about 3 1/2 weeks old in this pic.
This is her sibling who is 7 days younger and just starting to grow a tail.

I am new to keeping chickens and I had a question about my EE. I got her from the local feed store listed as Americana. She is about 16 weeks old, very pretty but I just want to make sure she is an EE. She is a mix for sure but I cant tell what kind of comb she is developing, any input would be appreciated...

So Pretty! Has she started laying yet? She is my only chick that will be a surprise egg color, im excited to see it! Hopefully within the next month she will start to lay. Im glad to see other EE's out there without the muffs and beard too.
My girls are almost 16 weeks old, so no eggs yet. Although I read some reviews on the hatchery website that said some of them started laying at 17 weeks! I can't wait for eggs!So Pretty!
