The EE braggers thread!!!

What pretty hens & eggs everyone has.

luvarabhorses - What color legs does your splash EE have? Mine has green legs - it seems that some of my lighter/whitish EEs have green legs while most of the other darker colored EEs have grey legs. It seems so strange to me that her legs are actually this green (I've seen others' EEs with green legs, but hadn't owned any myself).

This is princess a few days before she started laying - grey/slate legs - all my EEs had this color of legs, until I ordered the new batch from MPC.

Beautiful girls. That is a great way to show the egg color. I have found it is really hard to show true color.

Just a side note becuase EE eggs are so fun to brag about and show off; the best way to get your photograph to show true color, with or without flash, is to include something white in the pic like millriver did. then when you have pic in computer adjust for the WHITE other colors will fall into place.

Did you have anymore hatch, Keith?

Here is Barr-bara she is my little refridgerated egg baby, her mom is my oldest blue AM hen crossed with my Barred Rock Roo. She lays a pretty blue/green egg. She had a sister from the same cross but she was Barred Rock all the way except for her muffs and egg color. One day last week she must have decided she didn't like this joint anymore and split. She was wandering around outside of the coop yard and the second she saw me grab the net........she was outta here, ran off into the woods and haven't seen her since.

Here's my Betsy she came from Blue AM's but is and EE, I suspect there was something recessive in her parents that just popped up, but if I could duplicate her coloring and feather pattern again I would in a heart beat.

Here's a close up of her coloring and feather pattern
