Now you can hatch out some mini Marshmallows.

If the legs are green it doesn't decide the color of the egg correct? Egg color is determined by parents / grandparents correct? I have a few EE with green legs who haven't laid any eggs yet since i got them in sept and one EE that has green legs is laying brown eggs. And one hen has really dark legs and she laid a few green eggs.

Correct leg color does not indicate egg color.

That is right, well Isis is a hatchery gal from Meyer. Here are some shots of her and her legs. Does Marshmalliw have same color kegs?

I think Marshmallow has greener legs than Isis. I don't have a close-up of her legs, but they are the same as her sister Caramel's legs in this pic:

Marshmallow's egg is a light blue in person, too, while Caramel's is light green and Runny's is olive.
I know there are Ameraucana threads on here that get into the differences between them and EEs and I know the leg color is one of the things that makes a difference.

Leg color is one of the attributes that determines if you have an EE (Araucana/Ameraucana mixed with another breed) or if you have a pure Araucana or pure Ameraucana. I think that is what COChix is trying to determine with her Isis.

Yes, egg color is determined by genetics, but a rule of thumb is often the chicken's earlobe color. A white earlobe is usually a white egg layer and a red earlobe is usually a brown egg layer, but with EEs the earlobe trick doesn't work. For me, most of the fun of an EE is waiting for the surprise in the nest box to see what color egg they lay.

Ah ok so earlobe color works with all but EE then? Cool info thanks! Now what if you cant see the earlobes? Or do all hens have visible earlobes?

Pale ear lobes are common with EE and Ameraucana . There are a few breeds where the ear lobe color does not work .New Holland have red lobes and lay white eggs . Penedencena have white ear lobes I believe and lay dark brown eggs .

X2.
COchix, if you got Isis from Meyer hatchery then she is an EE.
EE's (since they are basically "mutt'' birds) have a wide range of leg coloring, varying from Different shades of green, to blue, some can even have yellow legs or yellow tinted with blue.
