I had to look up the definition to be sure before I posted . So yes F2 is breeding F1 generation together to get F2 . F1 bred back to a parent line would be correctly called a backcross . It helps everyone understand when we use the correct terms .

I'm going to cross my EE rooster with a couple of my olive egger pullets, maybe I'll get a few spearmint eggers, though I've heard they are pretty rare. We'll see.
