Is Collette not a roo? Her hackles are pretty pointy. I've have my EE's really fools me, at least till they crow. Love the coloring by the way

Cackleberry, I'll get better pics tomorrow but here are a couple of pics. They're really going through a growth spurt right now so they're a lot larger all of a sudden.

this is olive, i have posted her pic before, but, she has just started laying- but her eggs are brown with a pinkish tinge- sigh- not obvious when you see it- but she is a sweety anyway

she was waiting for the favorite nesting spot- the feed bin

I got four EE's hens on sat. and they are doing good I will be putting pic on in next few days.

She is squatting though, which is supposed to be a good sign. The little 4H girl that we got them from predicted blue eggs (and our copper EE green eggs), but her mom said she wasn't sure if they came from blue, green, or brown eggs. I hate waiting too...

besides squatting, what i have noticed is they start talking alot- seems they go through a teen stage of not wanting contact to hey! i'm a grown girl! really kind of funny-

I'm sure many of know how I feel about getting my first egg from the pullets bought last April . Its between a Grade A Large store bought and a CX pullet's egg . A little out of focus but the color shows well .
