Hi turtlefeathers, you got some really pretty girls there and a nice roo too! The little white girl in the back looks just like my Andi girl, any Idea what she is mixed with? Andi and her could be twins. LOL and the blue girl towards the front looks alot like my BB. I got my girls at Rural King here in IL. and they lay the prettiest light blue and olive green eggs.
Again you have a very colorful flock there!

I got 3 (8 month old) EE pullets recently. They all look quite similar so I'm assuming they're from the same parentage. One of them, and I don't know which one it was, surprised me with an egg ... a small, light brown egg. I was very excited, not just cuz I had just gotten them and didn't have to wait for months, but also because none of my brown egg layers (that I have had for months and months) have produced yet. So ... my question is this ... will all three lay brown eggs, or can some have the blue egg gene and some not? I already have 2 wonderful EE'rs that lay green eggs so really I'm just curious.

The newbies, Penelope, Cassiopeia, and Jules (does Jules look like a boy to you?) I really think it was Penelope's egg as she was the one in the nest most.

Im not sure what your girls parentage is but I have 3 that look very similar one lays a light olive egg, one a very blue egg, and the other one lays a dark green or olive egg. Im fairly certain that they are sisters and all lay different colored eggs so I would think that you got a good chance of getting a blue or green egg. Just my opinion though, so don't hate me if Im wrong K,

Good luck with your new little girls!
