The EE braggers thread!!!

Medicine Man's hen setting in the dry grass is almost perfectly camo'd(sp?) Bet you had a hard time even seeing her. Did she go on to hatch her chicks there? Also like the pics of the little chipmunk colored babies, chicks colored like these always grow to some interesting colors. I would think that this coloration is natures way of protective coloration like spots on a fawn deer.

Yes, I thought so too, but I was being a bit shy after yesterday.

Know what ya mean, Wild Trapper! Hopefully today things will have settled down and back to our usual topics on this thread. I did my best to not aggravate the tone any farther, I think that some maybe need to chose their wording a little more carefully. We certainly don't want to be discouraging to anyone new to this thread!

I'm not MM, but remember from previous posts, those eggs were infertile, but he had some already in the bator which he gave her when they hatched and she raised the chicks.

Yes it will get better, I held and interacted w/ mine as much as possible, they for the most part are extremely friendly, they follow me like a pack of puppies when I'm in there coop, when they see me coming they will all run over and greet me, they eat out of my hand even the rooster, they were hatched in late sept of last year so they are just at 5 months old now. A couple are more aloof, but they are at the independent teen egg laying stage and I've read they will settle out of that.

Kassaundra, you are correct now that you reminded us of MM post, I recall his post also. Still those pictures are just perfect examples of nature. On the local meet up thread, one member posted a picture of the sweetest duck sitting on 30 to 40 infertile eggs. Poor girl was rescued and is now busy getting introduced to a mate

Okay. I want you smart folks here in the EE thread to take a look at my little chickies and tell me what APA recognized color my chicks might RESEMBLE when full grown? xD (this way I hopefully won't see the "EE's don't have colors" spew after this post...

Check out the photos in the thread I post... My little chickies ARE EE's and they aren't transparent, clear, or invisible! Their feathers reflect light back to my corneas rewarding my brain with the interpretation of color.

So, what, maybe, when my little chickies are adults, might by brain interperate their nonexistant colors to be?
