Someone gave me a pair of Phoenix X Buff Ameraucana crosses, and I bred the rooster to one of my longtail hens and this was the result.

She is the hen in the front left of the picture. unfortunately she is dead, but I still have the pair of phoenix x ameraucana and am breeding them. I want to make some longtail EEs.

This is the rooster. I have him over an (asil x rir) hen. That will bring the size up and make them meaty.
I will add more longtail on the next cross.

I have two EEs. One laid an egg today for the first time.. I still need to find out who actually did so (2nd from left on the 3rd pic). It took 27 long weeks of waiting but worth the wait for a bluish egg. Do you notice the blood smear? It indicates a pullet's first egg... Yeeey!!!
