So I'll spare the long story and drama that goes with this particular bird but I sold him/her as part of a quad a few months ago. The owner called me and said she no longer wanted him as he started crowing, which he has yet to do. He's a hennyroo at this point. Some things scream male others scream female. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. He/she came home yesterday and I'm really of glad. I'll have to get some better pics but just wanted to share one from my phone.
He's a product of a black Ameraucana roo over a BCM hen. I'll be really happy if he is a roo as I have some Marans hens that should make gorgeous Olive Egger offspring with him. He's got the pea comb and so is carrying the blue gene if I'm correct. Has black muffs and beard and coppering with feather shanks. Anyway.....
