The EE braggers thread!!!

It's a really bad picture but here is my EE and EE/Frizzle girls

I went to the local poultry auction yesterday because i had to move some ducklings out of here(couldnt rehome them online). No intention of buying anything unless i saw a real nice Muscovy hen, REEALLY wasn't planning on buying any chickens! But then I saw this sad-looking guy and I couldn't help myself. I have such a soft spot for frizzled birds and I knew he would be SO pretty after he was all feathered back in!

Well after I picked him up I realized he was some sort of EE, which is fine, I have some EE/OE girls he can live with after he's all better. He is very sweet and after inspection seems to only have a couple problems... bad feathers & possible leg mites, both of which can be easily fixed and i have dealt with before.

He came with 2 banty hens I didn't really want but they look super healthy with clean legs, one is pretty rooster plucked though, They will likely find new homes soon.

Here's FRANK, aint he cute?

I often come here to check out the pictures .... just love EE's.

Today, 2 of my young roos were culled. I am not made for this....been crying all afternoon and looking at the pictures just made me sadder. Oh well. Now I'm down to 4 young birds and of those, 1 more is definitely a roo and another might be. This is hard stuff.

sorry if this has already been covered, this is a LONG thread... my EE are 13 weeks old... some that i thought for sure where hens, now not so sure... they seem to all have one feather that goes over the top of the straight up feathers.. sorry if this sounds dumb, but does that make them a roo? most of the feathers on some go straight up like my other hens, but they have one lone feather at the top going over... i want some hens !! love the green eggs..

That is some challenge that you found for yourself. At least he is a calm dude. I love his fire engine red skin ! Keep posting so we can see progress and thanks for the laugh about POW. "right on" as the sixties experssion goes

Pretty sure these are all girls.. some do have that one curved feather though.. but looking at the others I am sure are roosters, they dont have the red on the comb.
