The EE braggers thread!!!

It may just be the picture or the way it looks on my monitor, but he looks to be blue with possibly some mottleing more than splash, and his legs appear green; making him an EE, if so. Here's a picture of a splash EE I used to have; notice the off white base with scattered splashes of blue, though he also had red shoulders and more unseen red on the wings which are clipped.

I think I may have misread your post. Those are the offspring of a splash Ameraucana?

I like the splash, how do you think yours got the red?

my friend Jim intends to keep the slate legged, blue barred, pea combed bearded roo and cross him with the blue and splash EE pullets to get Blue-Barred, dark leg, dark beak, pea combed, green egglaying EE Pullets and Roos- we just talked about it while I was snapping pictures.

Cute pup, a JR?

My splash was purchased in a group of supposed B/B/S Ameraucana chicks, but from the beginning his upright stance had me dubious. His tail came in at 90 degrees, he feathered with heavy red bleed, and threw yellow legged male chicks from Wyandottes......................... obviously he was mixed. Most of the others failed to meet my standards, some of those that I liked failed breeding tests. On the other hand the pullets were productive layers of blue eggs, and I bought them mainly for a crossbreeding project anyway.

My Gpa was a WWII vet and an amputee from that, his injury / stump made getting the higher performance prosthetics impossible, but I remember when he got his first leg w/ foam toes (making walking sooooooo much easier for him) he was sooooo excited. He was an 60+ yo Gpa excitedly taking off his shoe to show people his foam toes!!!!! lol lol lol (good memories)

The pups name is Jack, my buddy BigJim picked him up. I learned today, his dad was a jack russell and his mother was a, if ya want to put a name to it, a "chi-weenie".

he may rather be called a half jack.

We are borrowing a rooster for a few days to let our broody hen have some eggs. It is blue ameraucana. So my question is, with the two barred rocks, will they be sex linked? What about a new hapshire red, or Ancona? I figure the bsl and ee's would not be, but wondered about those, especially the br's. And will they all be EE's?
