The EE braggers thread!!!

I've heard of someone selling the carton for a few bucks and the eggs are thrown in for free!

(The revenuers will probably catch up to them someday- gotta get their cut!)

I'll have to look into it. Rinse the eggs with warm water (not cold) right? Great idea...sell the cartons and the eggs come free!

Yes, warm water. And, I only took the class to meet people who would talk chicken with me and nobody even wanted to see my chicken pictures!!!! hahaha! My husband thinks I've gone nuts over these chickens. Well, what else do I do when all my children and grandchildren moved to all parts of the country. Gotta baby something, right?

Our chickens are our babies too. Its a family thing. My daughter is 9, she is in 4-H, and loves it! I feel like I could raise chickens for the rest of my life!

I wanted to add that in TN you have to sanitize the eggs and have a separate refrigerater, a place to wash the eggs and new cartons with lables.

How do you know which states need licensing? Im in NH and I have 12 pullets for a family of 5 and they will begin laying in roughly 2 weeks. I will have lots of eggs always on hand and was planning on selling enough to buy chicken feed with egg money(chickens need to pay for them selves since our very first egg is going to have cost us roughly $1500
