OMG! I love the color of your eggs! I hope I get some that blue! My girls are 19.5 weeks old. No eggs yet!
he's splendid! I'm curious what my Royce will look like next year, I hope he turns out as handsome as yours!
Thanks! I think so too. Best part is his good attitude with the hens. I got him a month or so ago when I took my nasty(buff Orp) roo to a breeder for freezer camp. I came home with this guy. I sure hope he stays sweet.
Anybody know what you get with a EE(AM) x buff Orp?
Bad news tho. This morning during chores I suddenly realized that one of my ee x silkie mixes is a cockerel! I hadn't paid much attention but all of a sudden i noticed that his comb is getting read & he has pointed hackle feathers! he is around 4 months old and I heard his big boy voice today too. Now i have to figure out what i am gonna do with him...I don't have enough hens for 2 roos...plus I am certain at least one of my BBS Am chicks is a cockerel too.
Anybody need a medium sized, cool colored (blue & red) ee x silkie mix?
BTW, Royce is handsome & will be stunning when he grows up...I need a good name for my dude...
Quote: You will get EE from that cross.... may lay a brown or green egg. Olive eggers come from a dark layer cross like a Marans.
