and disappointed...My EE Roo Prometheus has started attacking my dogs...My dogs are trained NOT to hurt the chickens and don't stand up to the rooster...Anybody have any ideas on what to do. Thinking I'll have to replace him, cause I have new EE babies growing up. I'm sure one is a roo(there's always a roo in a hatch LOL)
He's so pretty and was sweet, he's good to his ladies. Since I whooped up on him he leaves me alone...so sad cause he use to eat out of my hand and stand on my foot and was such a good boy. I can't have him hurting my dogs..I guess I trained them to well....

At this point I'm just so happy she started laying, I had read EEs were late layers but 8 months seems reaaaally late haha. Anyone else have any late layers?

Here's some pictures of her and her egg! So far she's 3 for 3 days!

Congrats! I had one that hatched in Feb and didn't start laying till Nov or Dec. She was low man on the totem pole and it was late in the year and the days getting shorter.... just lots of reasons she laid late.

Your girls is SOOOO PRETTY! Do you know what her cross was? SLW in there maybe....

Try shooting him in the rear with a BB gun rifle. I had a rooster who was a bully to my cats. I shot him in the rear and now he leaves them alone. The BB gun is the cheap $20.00 type low power rifle that only stings them leaving no damage.

We used a BB on a dog and resulted in hundreds of dollars in Vet bills.... I would think that could kill a roo unless you are really far away. OK now that I think about it it was a pellet riffle. IDK about a BB if it would penetrate or not. MAYBE just the noise would work. How about one of those horns they use a football games.... very annoying.

He is a pretty bird, too bad he isn't being nice. Using a BB gun to shoot him in the rear while caught in the action of bullying your dogs should fix your problem. That is what I did when my rooster was becoming aggressive.

I heard the best thing is to spray them full blast with your water hose every time they do something bad. I hope my roo never decides to go after my dogs! He will be history very quickly!
