The EE braggers thread!!!

I posted about this a bit ago and as a quick reminder, I have a blue Ameraucana cockerel [not EE] and three pullets that are laying: A barred rock, a black australorp, and a black silkie.


I gathered some eggs and put them in the incubator. I just candled for the first time tonight at day 12. Of the 15 eggs, four were duds. So I have 11 eggs with little chicks inside! I could see them moving!

There are 4 PBR's, 4 BA's and 3 silkies.

Kassaundra-U know I love your flock!!! I see a white EE in there!!! Love it and Oreo Standing Proud!! But those Nekkid Neck woow scare me just a bit!! and you have one beardless hen and I have no hens with beards.

AWESOME!!! I candled my last batch of eggs and on chicks turned it's head from the light and I almost dropped it....SO COOL!!!

I have two white EE's Yeta the wonder chicken, and Yeti. Yeti is just a normal chicken, but Yeta is always in the middle of anything I am doing and when I had all the chickens in smaller runs she was the only one of all 23 including Oreo who figured out how to get out, so she came and went as she chose, and would garden w/ me all the time. Now they are all given free access to the whole of the chicken area of the yard.

I've had a momentary lapse of impulse control and a serious desire to get what I want for my birthday... they are due to ship on 12/3/12, so i'll be brooding chicks indoors for a number of weeks, but have my coops/run setup in such a manner as is easy to modify to accomodate the chicks as soon as they are feathered. I'm outta my gourd... lol
