I have three pure AM's--two blue and one splash. They are very sweet birds. Easy to pick up and calm to hold. One follows me like a puppy. They are not flighty or loud either. One is even a cockerel and at 7-8 months is still a calm and lovey boy. He is the dad now to some EE chicks I hatched and I hope his personality lives on in them.

I love them, they're gorgeous and not too big.

Kassaundra, thanks for the reply. I don't know if the pictures are clear enough to tell, but do you think they have pea combs?

and they look to have pea combs at least the one with the light head does the other is a little hard to tell from the pic.

The sad thing is, he was 3rd genertion green olive egger.....hatched from an olive egg.... he is 7/8 Marans and 1/8 Ameraucana. He was suppose to be Olivia and give me green eggs.....but now his name is Oliver and gives me no eggs! LOL.

Thanks chicken pickin. I looked at the pea comb contest page, but most of them were older birds with nicely developed combs.

Oh my. That poor bird looks like someone tried to pluck her before they had culled and scalded her!

Good to see what it looks like because when my girls do moult, I won't freak.

I agree. Not a hint of color in the almost non existent combs.
