The EE braggers thread!!!

Thanks Kassaundra! Is that patterning pretty consistent for any color EE? Splotchy for roos and fairly even for pullets? I have two others that have similar patterning as this one but they are golden and brown. I'm hoping for all girls since I already have a Marans roo.
Yes.

Kassaundra,

You have such an amazingly beautiful flock. Every time I see pictures you've posted I'm always taken aback. Beautiful birds that are obviously well cared for.

Please tell me about the rumpless one walking away from the camera in this shot. I'm intrigued by rumpless chickens.
Thank you the EE were my first chickens ever they are hatchery from Meyers. The araucana boy is both rumpless and tufted and absolutely beautiful

he doesn't meet standard b/c of his leg color, but his feather color is truly amazing. He is very small and so didn't fit into any plans I have for breeding and I live in town so have to be very careful about males that I keep, so he has been rehomed to a fellow Okie BYCer and has his own little haram of small hens one araucana and I forget what the others were but they were bantam sized, so perfect for him. The BYCer banjoejoe has his father they are identical.

Finally got around to taking images of my barred EEs. Here's one of the males (at least that's my guess). 12 weeks old. Oh wait, this is an EE...they don't get wattles! hahaha Still think it looks like a girl.

and Mama swinging on the hay bale.
I think she looks like a pullet. I think at 12 weeks she would have developed small wattles and much more comb. Just my opinion.

Are your Easter Eggers also this loud? Ours constantly chatter at us all day!!

Sorry for the sideway's video - I forgot that I can't rotate it afterward!

Mine sounds like that but mostly only if they think they are going to get something from me and it is usually the other breeds that start the "what did you bring us??" chatter.

Fortunately (I guess) I have no choice but to follow BYC on my work laptop (at home, not wasting work time!) since BYC drags my Power PC Mac almost to it's knees. Only 1G of memory. So, I could just turn the laptop sideways and see the video in proper orientation.

Persephone laid for the 7th straight day, matching Andromeda's 2nd longest streak. Now to see if she is heading for Andromeda's 10 day record or she will skip tomorrow.
