The EE braggers thread!!!

Hey I was wondering who has pink eggs. My mother-in-law needs some new blood in her EE flock and asked if I could find her some "Pink eggers" She as blue, green, olive and light brown, but has never had pink. Please let me know what you have, or even if you know what to mix to get a pink egg. Thank you so much.

My Barred Rocks lay such lightly tinted eggs, that it almost looks pink. That's what pink really is...pale, pale brown. I've thought about hatching a few since I have 1 EE roo, and 1 EE hen and 3 BR hens.

Hiya, it's been a while since I posted on this thread but my chickens are getting bigger, they now 22 weeks old. Here is a picture of them. 5 of them are EE's, the other 2 are B Aussies.

The cockeral is my baby! He is so so so gentle. I had 2 roo's and only wanted to keep one, the other was a B Aussie and he was boss, but I loved CordonBleu so I couldn't part with him. The BA was the same age but much bigger and already crowed. He has been gone about a month but I have yet to hear CordonBleu crow. He is so gentle, wants me to pick him up, loves for me to pet him, never tries to get out of my hands when I put him down like the rest of the chickens, he has never hurt me. Have I made a sissy roo out of him? I had a talk with him and told him that he has to man up soon because he has 6 hens to take care of...

Anyway, here is a pic of my girls with their sissyboy! :) MollieB and Doosya (who is my other sweetheart) are the BA's but I am sure ya'll can tell.

She's a Sweetie

Two Great little Chicks!!!!

Shes from MMH. How much do the EEs from Ideal differ in appearnce from her? we were thinking of ordering from Idea and driving to get them this year rather than shipping.

All Ideal "Ameraucana" look EXACTLY like these:

Welllllll, all of the 2 *I* got look exactly like that

I like the idea of pickup. Pretty much cuts the transportation risk to zero.

Forgot to brag!
Persephone laid again today - 11 days in a row

These are my 2nd generation Wyandotte/EE's Grandpa is daddy too so there' a bit more Wyandotte in these ones. Not All of the chicks hatched had single combs but my mother ended up wanting to keep most of them because they were such cute chicks. and go figure... I can't get a single GL Wyandotte from my roo & wyandotte hens but I get all these laced babies from him with one of my EE girls!!

Mom has decided to keep this boy(with all the EE girls)

This boy is a real sweety, and pretty handsome too!

She is splash. Was cream at hatch. Her legs are grey. Not dark though. Pinkish and they have freckles on them. It's hard to explain! Here she is at hatch These are my blues (see splash in back?) One of the blue babies. My blue rooster.
They second hen looks just like my old bantam EE. The only difference was that my EE has gold markings in her neck and gold diamonds on her chest. She is pretty!

i know alot of people seem to talk down about EEs (blah on them) hehe but I ADORE mine!! SO much so that hubby and I are buying a bunch more this year. We only have one.. but gosh.. ChickZilla is def one of my faves. What a pretty girl :D

I have heard many people say that the EE chicks from Cackle hatchery have many variety of colors. My two came from there. They are different from the ordinary. Anyway, I love the EEs best of all! I love the surprise at watching them feather out. I love the surprise at what color eggs you get. And I love the fact that you don't have to worry about silly rules about what is right or wrong about their color or comb or whatever! They are just fun!
