These two are 28 weeks old and I have not see any eggs yet. Arya was out back bawk-ing up a storm a few weeks ago, but has since stopped and there was nothing to show for all the noise. I am praying for a Christmasmiracleegg.
Both your girls look to be EE and I have had EE lay jumbos from day one. I also have a SLW hen that after an injury laid 2 eggs in less than 12 hours several times.... then I figured out the light timer was running 23 1/2 hours a day.Thank you for the response. I was hoping Luna(the ameraucana) would lay soon. When I found the first egg it was layed very early in the morning, and Cutie(the EE) layed her egg in the nest really late-even for her it was late after 6 pm. Then after I didn't get another egg I just thought maybe, it was a freak thing or something. But then when I got another one today I was wondering if chickens really did lay two eggs. I guess I should have thought about it as they were layed between 11am and 5pm and that is just impossiblesilly mama!! Well after I posted here I went out and checked the eggs side by side again and the "new" one is actually a little smaller today than the other day. So thank you very much for the help, at least now I can tell my daughter both her chickies are laying eggs she'll be thrilled.![]()

I know you are going to ask, but the girl above is not colored correctly for an Ameraucana, not even a Wheat
