Are you putting the 18-week pullets in with an established flock? Or creating a new flock of all 18-week olds? The three I added last time ranged 4-9 months old and the rooster killed the youngest one.

Thanks all to your response!! Yes, it will be a gamble for my hens as well..... I've seen a sweet and a vicious side of them. I took my hens over to my friend's house (she has chickens too) and my one hen pulled a feather out from the roots. The day that my bantam died, my friend brought her chickens over, and my hens played with her hen like she was there for ages. I don't have any roosters, so I think that the chicks will have more of a chance to survive. I'm just hoping for the best!

My chicks are growing so fast, it seem like in the blink of an eye they will be ready to join the big flock. This chick has been the biggest ever since it hatched and is continuing to go grow like a weed. It is one of my favorite chicks. Its an EExBuff brahma.2 weeks old
