My Eleanor is about 17 weeks now. I'm getting super impatient waiting for eggs lol. The next month is going to go sooooo slooooowww. Hopefully she starts early. Ely and her best frenemy Tea (Welsummer)
My EE is 20 weeks and still hasn't laid, and my BO that is 18 weeks just started laying last Friday. I can't wait to see a blue egg in that nesting box!

my Eleanor is just over 23 weeks and squatted for the first time today. Got her to squat twice! It took 3 weeks after my BSL's first squat and only 2 days after my RIR's to get their first eggs so hopefully soon! Let's go blue egg!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, I'm enjoying this thread. I have three ten week old Easter eggers supposedly sexed as hens, but one has longer curved tail feathers and a brighter comb. My husband says the comb has bumps. I do have some pictures I could post but not sure how to post them here.

I think you need to post a few more times to be able to post pics. and then in the reply box there are a few icons in the row next to where you can change your font if you scroll over the icons it will say insert image and that is what you click then follow instructions.

What color feathers does the chicken have that you suspect might be a rooster. A chicken with a splotchier pattern, not so uniform usually means rooster. Also a rooster will start developing dark red patches over his shoulders. If you don't see either of those chances are its a pullet.

Pics will help once you can post them.

Oh and Welcome to BYC!

Thanks for the info. Here is a picture of my three ten week old EE's. Opinions? The two on the sides both looked like chipmonks although one was darker than the other. Still is. The middle one was speckled (really stunning looking) and slightly larger than the others.
I also have a six month old Delaware/aracauna rooster (Looks like a Delaware but his background is cream instead of white) and two Jersey giant pullets.
