Wheaten is a color, EE is a type of chicken.

yeah i know. Wheaton is one of the accepted colors of ameraucana. all other color variations are considered EE.. I misspoke I should have said why are you not calling him A Wheaton ameraucana instead of an EE

I was told its a private site and I don't have the freedom to express my opinions.even though I did it in a nice way, the purest are tired of educating people in the differences between a Ameraucana And a EE

I don't mind constantly having to tell people ( i visit on the breed and gender thread much and many people believe they have something they don't), it just bothers me when they argue about something that is plain as day.

Isnt this guy a wheaten and not an EE.

I see yellow in the beak and legs look green.BB red,wheaten,partridge and EE red/black roosters look a lot alike yet the matching hen colors are different.

Can i ask you guys what i get when i breed a wheaten to a wheaten. Is it a 100% wheatens. And if i breed a blue wheaten to a wheaten do i get blue wheatens, wheatens , and splash . Im having a hard time deciding who to breed

I leave for a day and the thread goes wild I have no intention of breeding just patiently waiting for my EE's to all start laying so I can see what colors I get. I have 4, 2 started and then stopped with the short days. They both lay a pastel green egg and the other two haven't laid yet unless they are only going to give me a brown egg *tear, sniffle sniffle*
