The EE braggers thread!!!

This week has been a good week for eggs from the EE girls at my place.
23 so far and I will collect when I get home from work. I have 13 hens so I think I'm doing pretty good on eggs for it still being so cold.

I have 2 EEs and one lays a nice light green egg. The shade varies slightly. The other lays a light blue egg, but she has only layed one real egg so far. She is still quite young and hasn't gotten into the laying routine.

Ok EErs, when ur girls lay, are the same hens consistently laying the same shades or do all the eggs vary in color each time ?
Each hen no matter what breed she is will lay about the same color/shape egg her entire laying life. There can be subtle differences especially in the darker colored ones becoming slightly lighter at the end of a laying cycle or when experiencing stress, or the occasional miss-shapen or faulty egg.

Thank you, I'm still a bit of a Noobie, so I'm looking into different birds that have made the cut list for the important stuff like weather tolerance and egg production. Ive got a few breeds in mind and thought it might be nice to have a colorful basket as well
