The EE braggers thread!!!

I have two EEs that can't seem to feather out. thye are both 1 month old but the only true feathers they have are the wings and now their baby fur is starting to fall out leaving them naked. is this normal?

Can you post pictures?

Are there any deformities is size or growth?

Are the parents normal in feather coverage?

I'm hatching eggs for the first time (EE's of course!) and I'm not sure if the air cells are big enough. I've cut the humidity since Wednesday to try and get them bigger. Today is day 18 and I'm wondering if they are big enough to increase humidity and go into lockdown or if I should wait and do it tomorrow morning to give them a smidge more time to get to the right size.

First timer so I'm really nervous!!!

here are some pics. i've noticed they haven't grown as fast as some buff mixes i have. but i'm guessing the buffs are just fast growers. the top of the wing is bare skin
It looks like they're just having some bald spots. What are you feeding them? Are they getting enough protein? If I were you, id scramble them some eggs and mix them with some plain yogurt or cottage cheese :)

My newest little EE. Half brahma, half ameraucana. Will lay nice green eggs for me if it's a girl.

You might be surprised and get a blue egg. Icrossed a buff brahma and the girl in my avatar, who layed blue eggs, and their daughter layed blue. Slightly darker than her mom.

Poor nutrition doesn't neccssicarily mean quantity of the feed, but quality. For example a bird on purnia is likely to develop better than a bird on an all cracked corn diet

I would free feed as well, rather than just feeding them until their sack pokes out.
They'll know when to stop eating.

I have three little cuties that I just hatched out of AM eggs from a fellow BYCer. What is the chance that I have one of each blue, black, and splashed? How would you tell the dif between black and splashed? The one in front has more yellow fuzz than the other.
