The EE braggers thread!!!

In the spring, I am going to hatch some eggs. Would the chicks end up being and olive egger or an EE? The hens are red sex links and the roo is an EE. Also there is a RIR that is a hen and it would be with an EE roo. Would that make the chicks olive eggers?

Blue and brown = green . The darker the brown the more olive green the hens will lay . Depends on the rooster . If he has 1 or 2 copies of the blue egg gene . You could get some brown eggs .

Will they be bearded also if the rooster is?

my rooster is bearded, and his chicks were all bearded so I guess it's a common trait!and I'm glad,I LOVE THE BEARDS!!!!

Here are 2 pictures of the same cockerel . He has barring . I have 2 more like him each a different shade . I have 2 pullets to match them .

That's just about how old mine is too! I cant wait!! Please post your first egg pic! I am excited to see the color they produce

Nest boxes were (finally) constructed and mounted in the coop last night. I even put two golf balls in each box. Lay, ladies, lay!

What breed were you hens? Yes I love the beards too!

my hens breeds are:Buff Orpingtons,Barred Rocks,EE's,one RIR,and one Black Star. so the majority of what I have are beardless except for the EE's!
