Me, too! Hooray for EEs!

It's really hard to tell from the picture, but I have 3 EEs and the same 3 egg colors as you. Light green, olive green, and light blue. Your picture is great!

Wow those eggs are lovely!
My last EE (of the 3) finally started laying on the 4th, at 36 weeks!! Here is the new layer, Dolores:

Here is her egg:

And here are all 3 of my EE eggs, Olive Greenish (Dolores), Light green - but looks brown in this pic (Buttercup), and pale blue (Cleo)

Happy happy EE owner!

Congrats!

And I forgot to say what a fine looking EE! I haven't seen one that looks like this before. Her coloring has such variety she looks like a he!

We thought she was a 'he' for a very long time. She's our most dominant hen, and at one point a month ago it looked like she was trying to mount the other hens! We know now it was a dominance display....

Thank goodness for three colors of eggs! (now, if it would just warm up to above freezing so they don't freeze and crack before I get home from work!)

Yeah my Anconas do that. They are "top o' the flock" and for some reason seem to think they need to remind the other girls even though none of them EVER challenged.

Pretty I had one like her once but never got to point of lay. Died early no apparent reason.

Thanks to both of you! She is quite unique (in every way). Her new favorite game when out for supervised free range time is 'fly to the roof of the coop and survey her kingdom". Thank goodness she seems to have mellowed out this week after starting to lay!

My EE started laying eggs!!!! I guess I just had to wait. She lays olive green eggs. The blue eggs are so pretty, sunflower4you.
Does anyone know if we can tell what color they lay by feather colors?

Congrats on your eggs! I don't think you can tell what color egg they lay based on their feathers. It is based on earlobe coloring which works great for all breeds except EE. We have five EE and they all lay different shades of blue to blue/green. Some have red earlobes some have lighter colored earlobes, etc.
