The EE braggers thread!!!

I have an EE chick that I'm starting to think is a rooster.. Is their a way to tell if it is at 2-3 weeks old?

My lil roo developed quicker and had more prominent markings, like eyeliner. This was my 1st experience w/chicks but the comb was a dead giveaway! Good luck to you!

X2. What makes you think he's a rooster? Easter eggers are one of the kinds that can take longer to tell. If you have both sexes for comparison the roosters combs often appear darker (redder) in color while the pullets are smaller, cream or flesh colored.
And sometimes they just act like boys. I have one, a beautiful rooster now, but initially he looked like a girl, exactly like his mother, and he was a singleton, a test egg, so I didn't have anyone to compare him to. My husband kept saying girl, but while I was saying girl, I kept thinking acts like a boy, and this was by the third week.
He turned into a rooster, but has an excellent temperament.

Thanks. The one kinda does act like a boy, lol. She/he also will run towards my finger all stuck up looking like my old rooster, and then backs up while kind of skipping..

I got 2 bantam roosters once, and its so weird, they were SO SMALL! as small as a 3 week old EE! they both stopped growing a little after I got them... They had the face of chicks also.
