The EE braggers thread!!!

I've got 15 bantam EEs growing like weeds in the brooder right now. I plan on keeping 4-5 at most, 1 cockerel & 3-4 pullets. Is anyone else interested in bantam EEs? The eggs they came from were a lovely sky blue, definitely more blue than green.

Here are some better pictures of my EEs!

I have a genetics question....

If I cross a EE cock (hatched from green egg) and a California White hen; what color egg are the offspring likely to lay?

I'd like to continue to get a white egg for variety. Would this cross achieve that?

I tried to figure it out myself. My best guess is that I will get a very lightly tinted egg....am I even warm?

You could get blue, green, brown, or white; depending on what genes each chick inherits. And there is no way to know what they inherited until they start laying. I've got an Easter Egger/Barred Rock mix that I thought for sure was going to be a green layer, but she lays light blue.

The one that I posted a picture of that I said had the ear tuffs... He is also getting yellow feathers coming in on his neck... Which is like our other rooster that is in my profile picture! I noticed it yesterday!!
