OH MY GOODNESS!!! I LOVE my Easter Eggers! I got six pullets but one ended up being a roo. That's okay though because he is gorgeous and probably my favorite chicken. Very curious and friendly. And two of my girls started laying a littler over a week ago. Beautiful eggs!
When they were just wee littles! There are two buff orpingtons and three welsummers in there also.

The red one in this picture is my husband's absolute favorite. She has some blue also and is stunning.

And the lovely eggs! The darker one is a Wellie and the lighter is from by buff

Question about egg color:
I got an egg today from an unknown chicken. I have Barred rocks that are just on the verge of laying at 16 weeks and a 26 week old EE that hasn't layed yet that I know of. The egg I got was just slightly larger than a quail egg and brown with dark brown speckles. Will an EE lay a speckled egg?
This is the potential girl.

It's possible, also more likely since she is a "clean face" EE.Question about egg color: I got an egg today from an unknown chicken.
