The EE braggers thread!!!

your arucanna rooster cross... what is he crossed with? My rooster looks just like that...
if your talking to me, mines supposed to be a pure bred slovac strain rooster, and a pure french strain hen, its our brown hen thats suspected cross
since its comb is long has no buffs and its egg is green tinged, our pure strain hen lays an egg with no hint of green

True, but as I am keeping these I will know for sure as their feathers grow in. Also if they are like my other blues, they were so dark at hatch a spot will be easy to see. I will definitely take pictures after hatch. In the future, my barred rock will be crossed with a true black ameracauna, which will make black EE sex links. My cockerel is just still to young for this hatch.

I got 3 EEs from Meyer June last year. One was nearly pure white with the FAINTEST apricot hint (an I THINK I see it hint) on top of her head. She stayed mostly white with an apricot splash on her breast and running down her back. Eos:

is it buff? we just bread our 1st EE from an araucana male and buff orpington im hoping it will be buff, as of now it has no markings at all.
just a yellow bundle of fluff with white flights. although it does have a black dot behind each wing. its also rumpless

The bird you are asking about is Splash Partridge. Your chick is white. Orpingtons can carry dominant white, but since they don't have black pattern it can't express. You rooster is Blue, which a dilute of extended black pattern. The dominant white from the Orpington is making the black pattern (diluted by the Blue gene) of the rooster turn white. Make sense?
