All of my chicks were purchased at the same time in April. My Delaware was the largest, next the EE, and smallest was the Buff Cochin. The Delaware started laying the end of August, and the Cochin (still the smallest) a month ago. Still no squatting or bright red comb from the EE. Is she just a late bloomer? I cherish the other two, but I am excited for the colorful eggs.![]()

23 weeks, 2 days
26 weeks, 1 day
30 weeks, 5 days.

My April-hatched EE just laid her first egg today! The top greeny one. My March EE lays the light blue. Dont give up waiting!![]()
Congratulations! I wish we had poultry at our county fair; only cattle (beef), cows (dairy), goats, sheep, and pigs.
I love the way they look at you with that mad type eagle look...lol!
