The EE braggers thread!!!

I'm currently trying to hatch my own EEs in a homemade incubator. But for now, this is Xena, my only colored egg layer. I hope to have some EE chicks to post in about 16 days!

These are some beautifully colored EE'ers. The local feed store is getting a big batch in and I'm going to pick out my five. I already have one which is butter yellow...don't know what it will turn out to look like... any guesses? I want them all to be a little different. I've seen the chipmunk markings so I know how to identify that one, but does anyone have any good pictures of their chicks and then pictures of the hen/rooster they grew up to be? I'd like to kind of have an idea of what I'm looking at. Silly, I know, but I'm so excited about my first flock.

She is just gorgeous. I can't wait to see the offspring from her and that spectacular BW rooster of yours. How's the hatch going?

It was doubly exciting because my 2nd turkey Slim started laying today as well...her egg is the dark spotted one! What a great day!! I bought an EE last year hoping for green eggs and it turns out she lays white/cream colored eggs. So I was ecstatic today and came running from the coop screaming for him to "look at this!" my husband thought I'd flipped my lid!!

dont you just love the EE's for giving us our green eggs. Now we just need pigs that will give us green ham
