This is my newest chick, chick #5 until they get names

. She is mostly white but you can see a stripe on her head and she has grey shoulders. I was told she was either an EE or an Amerileg, more likely the Amerileg. What's the difference?? Either way I LOVE her. She is really sweet and pretty docile and I can't wait to see what the grey looks like when she feathers out.

I would guess that an Amerileg is a cross between an Ameraucana and a leghorn - which makes sense looking at your chick - and that cross = EE!!!! yay for you!!!!

My friend has a few Ameraucana/leghorn hens and they lay the most beautiful mint green eggs. I have tried many a time to talk her out of one of those chickens. That would be an awesome cross if it's what you have. Funny to hear it called an Amerileg..... makes sense.

They are sweethearts!

So that's what your Baby looked like at 10 weeks? I hope my Baby turns out to be as pretty as yours!
Oh and we call her Baby... but her real name is Crybaby. She fusses and squaks if you try to come near to pick her up. I hope she gets to be more cuddly. I am working on being her best friend by bribing her with mealworms...
