The EE braggers thread!!!

Here's Dixie - isn't she something? I grabbed her on a total whim out of the "Araucana" bin at the local feed store because I had never seen chicks that color and I was crazy curious to see what they would grow into. I love her coloring! She has quite a bit of blue on the back of her head and her muff and beard is lavender.

i have a couple questions. these two are at least half siblings--got them from donnie here on byc. the one on the left is ronald, above...on the right, i swear this one is a roo too, but why does he have no tail?

these two girls are twin sisters (again, from donnie--beautiful birds!), but one has a pea comb, one a single comb (in the last two pics). i understand pea comb and the blue green egg gene are correlated at around 94%, so am i correct in thinking that the one with a single comb is almost definitely not going to produce a blue green egg?

If you get any chicks with messed up toes like that just boot them for a few days and it will straighten. I've done this several times and always end up with normal toes. I use paper first aid tape. A little piece on top and one on bottom of just where the toes connect all the way to the nails.
