LOL! no not off the edge yet, just a busy summer with the last three teens (two of whom are going to be seniors, so we are spending as much time with them as possible!) . . . plus 150 birds; culls went to the butcher last week WHEW! megcpat - BEAUTIFUL!!!! I'm glad you kept him! Frodo is the same coloring but with red/gold instead of blonde and out of RoyXBob. I like them big too and was really pleased with the size Bob added to my flock. Vegaschick - your girls are soooo pretty - Olivia is aptly named as she is going to lay a lovely olive egg! I will be curious to hear what BellaLuna lays . . . I don't know how long you have had chickens but just FYI their combs and cheeks will turn really red right before they start. Good luck!
I thought y'all would appreciate the freaky EE roo I hatched out back in April. I can't decide if he is pretty or not, but he is certainly interesting. He's red, white and blue!
Daddy is a blue ameraucana and mama is a white with buff touches EE. This guy is splash with red leakage from what I can tell. He's fun!
@ CityGirl: Nothing freaky about that bird. He's gorgeous! Each time I see these EE's makes wish I would have gotten all EE's. They have such unusual coloration. Of all my birds one of my BR's turned out to be a roo
I was secretly hoping it would have been one of my EE's so I'd get a beauty like yours!
here is Frodo he is from BobXRoy and will be one of the main roos for next years chicks. The pics don't do him justice the green in his tail is super vibrant.
