What about #6? that doesnt look like a pea comb to me.

If anything I'd call it a pea x rose comb. (which some say would be a walnut comb but honestly, I've gotten those guys and it just looks like a rose comb) Pea combs do vary quite a bit though. Some look a lot like single combs, some look a lot like rose combs. . . As he ages I'm sure he'll show us his 3 rows.

I've looked closer at his comb, you can see the other rows under the feathers.

They all came out of green eggs, so I'm hoping the few hens I have will lay green eggs.

Looks like it might be my only girl? Does the chick on the lower left look like its colors are "boyish?"

So far, yes. Looks like a photo filled with a bunch of very pretty boys. There's no certain saying, but so far I think it is safe to say yes. There are indeed some pretty Columbian type pullets out there, but it is rare.

Ah, well. I thought so. Just my luck with straight run. Good thing I got some more babies today to take their place.
Just to add: I'll take a pic of that chick in ?'s comb tomorrow. The tail feathers are long though. Agh, no more denial.

Have any of you found that certain color EE hens tend to lay blue eggs, as opposed to greener eggs?
