The EE braggers thread!!!

Don't know about EE roos , ive never kept any but i do have a Salmom Fav. Roo who is great, also a blue Orpington Roo that is also very gentle and sweet. but very protective of his hens. I do have EE girls and if the Roos are anything like them it should be great. JMO best of luck!

Of course I can't speak for all but in my years of having EE's I don't think I have ever had a roo that showed any aggression towards humans. I believe a roo's behavior depends a somewhat on how they are handled.

My boy is just now 6 months old, but he has been great, very attentive and protective of his ladies, very interested (in a good way) in me, always comes and greats me, allows me to touch him (well sometimes) eats from my hand (but usually calls his girls over), he is also infatuated w/ my red hair

waiting on eggs tohatch in hopes of an EE roo with good coloring. My RiR roos are very friendly because we handled them all the time. They follow us around, and ride on the goats backs too.

He's gorgeous, but what is he like around people?. I had one EE that would attack me or DW if we went in the fenced in yard with him. Rooster stew, isn't a bad thing. I have 3 roos right now and all are gentleman around humans, well actually they run the other way, but the fight some among themselves.

I have three roosters, all three are Blue Wheaten Ameraucana's, all raised the same and the number 2 roo has decided to attack my DW and anyone else that comes by. He's getting very close to the stewpot!

I've got my FIRST EE hen at home! Was a bit dissapointed to see a cream almost white colored egg (was hoping for pretty colors!!), but then I decided "well darn, I'll just have to get more EE's."
