I put up pics with my very first post! that was not very long ago. Have you tried to post pics?????
Nope, I haven't tried posting pictures yet. I kept seeingin other threads about not being able to post pictures till you had gotten 10 posts at least, so i figured that was the norm.
I can try though. How about this:
The whole crew in the brooder. 5 chipmunk EEs, 2 RIR pullets, and 1 BR cockerel.
Hope it worked!
If that one works I'll work on getting the other ones up of the indivual EEs.
ETA: They EEs are 3.5 wks old, the RIR and BR are probably about 4 wks old.
I am so excited I got a light khaki colored eggs a few days ago and then today when I got home from work I had a perfect little oblong shaped robin colored blue egg!! Thats what Ive been waiting for, for almost 6 months Im so excited!!!!
So here are my 5 EEs. Anyone wanting to guess genders is welcome to it! I think there are 4 pullets and 1 roo though. I am trying to name them somewhat but only have a couple of them tentatively named. I figure my kids will want a say so in names too, though they are likely going to come up with some funky names considering the 2 that are old enough to have a say are only 4 and 2! My 4 year old already randomly named out BR cockerel Blackbeard! Here they are though, pardon me for any picture overload!
Chick 1- has lightest coloring
I think it looks like an ostrich here! Maybe I should name it Ostrich!
Here is a close shot of the head of Chick 1, and a profile shot
Chick 2- only one with a distinct coloring difference from the other chipmunk chicks, tentatively named FuzzyButt(though considering changing it since she was the hardest to capture when we had to bring them back from outside today, she was flying around everytime we tried to catch her! Wild Child may be more appropriate!)
Here is FuzzyButt in profile
FuzzyButt checking out the feeder, this picture shows her comb ok too
FuzzyButts head shot
Chick 3- our possible roo
Chick 3- does he look rooish to you?
Here he is with our BR cockerel
Chick 4
Chick 4 with our BR cockerel Blackbeard
Headshot of Chick 4 and profile shot
Chick 5-looks a lot like chick 5, but has lots of red in breast area, also has red spots on it's head; I named it Robin for now
Full body shot of Robin and one of her beside one of the RIR showing off her red chest
Head shot of Robin
So there are our EEs. Does every one agree with my assessment of who is my roo? I've got a couple more group shots to share with y'all too!
Here is 4 out of 5 EEs
Feeding Frenzy (also includes our RIRs and BR)
This one has all 5 of the EE crew in it. The roo is working on chasing everyone away from the feeder so he can have it all to himself!
And he succeeded too!
Ok, I'm done sharing for the night!
Sorry for all the pics, I was surprised how many pictures I took in a 10 minute span outside earlier today! I swear I've took more pictures of the chicks than I have taken of my kids the past month!
