Poor girl ! It is a beautiful egg ! It is funny most pullet eggs are smaller than subsequent eggs and them others are double yolked for a week or two and others lay first eggs without shells, just a soft thick membrane. ???????????

So is the quality of EEs from hatcheries about the same, or are some hatcheries better than others? I am going to order some EE chicks this spring, and I am trying to decide between Murray McMurray, Hoover Hatchery or Welp Hatchery. I live the quality of birds from Welp, but I've only had EEs from MM or Hoover. The birds from Hoover were a wide variety of colors --very pretty -- and they sure are cheap.
Any other hatcheries you like for EEs?
Becky

The hens range from black and lavender to blues and creams as well as the typical brown wild pattern. The Roos are black and orange, blue and a silver/white.
